In addition to all of the evidence already outlined in the Common Core category. here is the 2004 MOU between Bill Gates, one if not the highest financial contributor behind Common Core, and UNESCO, the United Nations educational organization. It appears the original intent was to connect the world with computers through Microsoft, gee, what a money maker for Gates. But, the other hidden agenda was taking over education and indoctrinating everyone. Here are some of the highlights in the document:
Page 2, paragraph 2: Microsoft...is committed to initiatives...that seek to create social change... Page 2, paragraph 4: UNESCO's intention is to mobilise partners...to achieve its strategic goals and programme priorities; Page 3, paragraph 1: Microsoft supports the objectives of UNESCO...and intends to contribute to UNESCO's programme priorities; Page 3, Article 1 Objectives: align global and regional objectives Page 9, (b): ...UNESCO and Microsoft will...promote cultural diversity... Page 10, Article 11: Microsoft...shall not...use the name...of UNESCO... Page 13, paragraph 2: UNESCO's intention is to mobilise partners...to achieve its strategic goals... paragraph 5: Microsoft believes that ICT could make universal primary education an achievable goal... Page 15, paragraph 2: The goal of ITN is to allow teachers...across the globe...to share information, education materials... paragragh 3: subparagraph 3: ...provide cash investment...to deliver...curriculum leadership to primary/second teachers and students... paragraph 4: ...Microsoft seeks to use technology training to create...social opportunities that change lives, transform communities,... The essence of the agreement is to use technology to build a global communication system for the purposes of sharing information that will ultimately be used to promote UN ideology. No wonder there is such a rush to get computers into the classroom. Here is an outline of the 8 major areas of agreement. Since the signing of this document Gates has been pouring money into UN NGOs that promote Common Core. What will it take for everyone to understand and put the pieces together that Common Core is a UN driven ideology?

Common Core Exposed
This article from Wisconsin is excellent as it clearly outlines the goal of Agenda 21 as it relates to Common Core and the need for nationalization of education. In summary, the goal of Agenda 21 is to put people into human settlements, create regions within the state which has already been accomplished in in some areas in Idaho, contained within those regions will be businesses who partner with the government, and in turn they will control everything. One regional need will be workforce development which means businesses will determine what the workforce need will be, they in turn will contact the schools, and the schools will prepare children to meet that need. It is imperative that Common Core is stopped. If stopped it will become a major stumbling block to Agenda 21. Get involved if not already, get others to join in the fight against Common Core. Support any candidate who opposes Common Core. It is one of the most critical issues we have in Idaho. UNESCO stands for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization. Julian Huxley was the first Director-General of UNESCO in 1946. He was an evolutionary biologist, eugenicist, and internationalist, and believed in population control through eugenics, conservation, felt a "...drastic reorganization of our pattern of religious thought is now becoming necessary, from a god-centered to an evolutionary-centered pattern", was an advocate of birth control and population control, "...believed that the lowest class in society was genetically inferior", and that the world should operate as one.
In 1946 Huxley prepared a 60 page paper, "UNESCO: its purpose and its philosophy", outlining what he thought the role of UNESCO should be. UNESCO highlights from this paper are here. You will see the support of international education, the use of persuasion and propaganda to overcome the resistance to change, the use of media to achieve this, and support of collectivism. And as recent as 2004 there has been ongoing support of "Social Engineering for Global Change". This is also called Common Core, the indoctrination of children for social change. Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) is a major focus of the education system now. There is a STEM Education coalition called StemEd, whose mission is "to raise awareness amongst policymakers at every level about the critical role that science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education plays in enabling the U.S. to remain the economic and technological leader of the global marketplace of the 21st century".
There are quite a few corporate, teacher organizations, and universities as members, and 800 affiliates. Many of the affiliates are UN NGOs. Chief Executive Officers of leading U.S. companies gathered together to form an association called the Business Roundtable (BRT). It is no surprise their members include multiple UN business partners. They also have their hands in a multitude of issues while keeping an eye on the educations system. The United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, UNESCO even joined in supporting STEM, signing an agreement with Intel. And why shouldn't they, more money for them, more indoctrination of kids, more control over the workforce to meet their needs, and further movement towards a fascist state in America, complements of Agenda 21 and the UN. No longer will children make the decision on what they want to be in life, it will be predetermined by corporations, the UN, and the government. The Common Core standards promotes the idea that children need to be "work force ready" and to compete in a global world, and these standards will accomplish that task. The UN fully supports this concept through their United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) fully supports this concept through their UNEVOC program, otherwise known as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
Their data base for collection of information on the United States can be found here. TVET "identifies and shares promising TVET practices"..."for policy makers and practitioners" with an aim of the database "to share knowledge of established innovative practices that promote TVET in a thought-provoking way within a particular local or regional context." Here is one video explaining TVET: Education is there to prepare young people for life and work Access to the right skills to become an active citizen and participate in economic & social development Countries develop an active and informed workforce to compete in the globalized world Supports governments to guide education systems towards quality, equity, relevance, sustainability to meet needs of people and labor market. It doesn't seem there is room for a child to explore their own interests, it will now be based on the needs identified for them, just like Common Core. Sustainable Development is also known as Agenda 21.
The connection to Common Core and the United Nations (UN) is well established, through foundations and corporations that fund it, self appointed "experts" who implement it, and teachers who have been indoctrinated on it. The United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), published a booklet, United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014), Education for Sustainable Development Toolkit. In this booklet there is reference to Agenda 21, "reorienting" education, and using teachers as one method to accomplish changing education. On page 15, What is Education on Sustainable Development (ESD), is a direct reference to Chapter 36 in Agenda 21 that includes 5 priorities. 1. Improving basic education: "...must be reoriented to address sustainability and expanded to include critical-thinking skills, skills to organize and interpret data and information, skills to formulate questions, and the ability to analyze issues that confront communities." 2. Reorienting Existing Education: (pg 16) requires "...reorienting education, (i.e., nursery school through university), basic education includes more principles, skills, perspectives, and values related to sustainability, encompasses a vision that integrates environment, economy, and society, and to participate in a democratic society..." "...current administration and faculty members must reorient university curriculum to include the many and complex facets of sustainability." This has been accomplished, the indoctrination of university students. 3. Public Understanding and Awareness: (pg 17) outlines "...people must become media literate and able to analyze the messages of corporate advertisers." The use of the media, entertainment, and advertising by Agenda 21 has been discussed in previous posts. 4. Training: (pg 17) Through formal and non-formal means "education is a socially transforming process." 5. Reorienting Education: (pg 18) is perhaps the most frightening and related to Common Core. "It...addresses learning skills, perspectives, and values that guide and motivate people to seek sustainable livelihoods, participate in a democratic society, and live in a sustainable manner." "...involves studying...global issues." "...(i.e., knowledge, skills, perspectives, values, and issues) must all be addressed in a formal curriculum that has been reoriented to address sustainability." "Deciding what to leave out—what does not contribute to sustainability or is obsolete—is an integral part of the reorienting process." In accordance to ESD principles: 1. Knowledge: (pg 19) "...let go of those topics that have been successfully taught for years but are no longer relevant." 2. Issues: Extending beyond Agenda 21 referenced on page 20, the toolkit now includes the issues of "...such as war and militarism, governance, discrimination and nationalism, renewable energy sources, multinational corporations, refugees, nuclear disarmament, human rights, and media influencing rapid change of worldviews." Isn't it interesting that BHO has introduced most of these issues into our nation? 3. Skills: (pg 22) outlines the skills the toolkit predetermines for education. 4. Perspectives: (pg 22) are perspectives for ESD stating, "When taught to a generation of pupils, such perspectives will become infused into local world views." 5. Values: Social Justice is the value that should be taught (pg 23) Page 27 outlines "disciplinary contributions" for math and ELA. Mathematics: helps students understand extremely small numbers (e.g., parts per hundred, thousand, or million), which allows them to interpret pollution data. Language Arts: especially media literacy, creates knowledgeable consumers who can analyze the messages of corporate advertisers and see beyond "green wash." Now we know why they will be reading pamphlets. Reading: develops the ability to distinguish between fact and opinion and helps students become critical readers of political campaign literature. History and Social Studies are also listed. One last note, page 35 outlines how to use teachers to implement ESD: "Institutions of teacher education are ideally situated to play central roles in educational reform, and teacher educators are the key change agents. Teacher educators train new teachers, provide professional development for practicing teachers, consult with local schools, and provide expert opinion to regional and national ministries of education. Teacher educators write not only pre-service teacher-education curriculum, but also contribute to committees that create teacher-education standards and officially mandated curriculum for primary and secondary education. Because of this broad influence in curriculum design, implementation, and policy setting, faculty members of teacher-education institutions can bring about far-reaching educational reform...". How many "educators" have been involved in changing your child's education through Common Core? How many are from UN affiliated universities, unions, or other organizations? How much input did you have as a parent to reorient your child to global citizenry? Take note, these were goals from 2005-2014, Common Core will be in full implementation in 2014. Have they succeeded? Here is an example of the corporate corruption taking place behind Common Core.
According to the Washington Post, Pearson Charitable Foundation, the nonprofit arm of educational publishing giant Pearson, UN partner, "...created Common Core products to generate “tens of millions of dollars” for its corporate sister." Not only is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UN NGO, a major contributor to the Common Core Standards but "...announced in 2011 that it would work with the Pearson Foundation to create reading and math courses aligned with the new standards." "...the Pearson Foundation sold the courses to its corporate sister for $15.1 million." The law states, "...non-profit foundations cannot misuse charitable assets to benefit their affiliated for-profit corporations." The foundation paid out $7.7 million dollars in the settlement. An article by Arkansas Times, revealed how the Foundation for Education Excellence, how laws are being written that benefit corporations. Apparently state superintendents are jumping into bed with corporations to create policies that financially benefit the corporations, shocker. It makes one wonder whether or not Tom Luna has or will engage in the same as he has met with Jeb Bush, perhaps to work out a deal for the Bush founded, Foundation for Education Excellence. What makes it impossible for Tom Luna to see the light? The Idaho Environmental Education Association (IdEEA) is proposing that "Idaho joins 45 other states in developing an Environmental Literacy Plan (ELP) that provides guidelines for implementing environmental education into academic settings to increase environmental literacy. In 2009, the Idaho Environmental Education Association (IdEEA) received a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) to spearhead development of a draft plan tailored to meet Idaho’s educational needs. A diverse group of stakeholders, including staff from the Idaho State Department of Education, worked together to ensure broad-based input into the plan."
Here is the "Environmental Literacy Plan" they will use to indoctrinate your kids. IdEEA is the official affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) along with corporations, the federal government, foundations, non-profits, and international groups. The NAAEE supports the United Nations and its sustainable development goals. The EPA has developed its lesson plans for your children onn the environment. The U.S. government established a law that prohibits government involvement in curriculum. Is this a violation of that law? The indoctrination has already started. This has United Nations written all over it. Contact Sherri Ybarra and tell her your are opposed to the UN driven Environmental Literacy Plan. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has different areas they work on, one of which is education, and there are numerous similarities with Common Core.
Lifelong Learning - "based on integrating learning and life". "Common Core State Standards provide clear and consistent learning goals to help prepare students for college, career, and life." Teachers - ...focuses on developing capacity for training...Improving teacher quality by developing standards for teachers and recommendations for use in policy development. Like every other part of Agenda 21 teachers will have to participate in a certification program to meet a standard. Skills for Work and Life - Common Core has heavy emphasis on being "career ready". Sustainable Development - The U.S. Department of Education has already incorporated Sustainable Development into our education system along with another organization that has a multitude of partners and includes the UN Association. Health Education - Because of Common Core students are now taught on a plethora of health subjects including inappropriate sex education, vaccinations are a hot subject here in Idaho, and kids are scrutinized for the weight and emotional health. ICT Education - Thanks to the adoption of Common Core this UN goal has been met with laptops in our schools, perfect for data collection. Democracy and Global Citizenship - This was the original description, "...supports the integration of education for peace and conflict prevention into national education policy and curriculum...Inclusive quality education is a central to UNESCO’s approach to building citizenship and democracy...". Now their description is "UNESCO focuses on issues such as governance, democratic institutions, citizenship, freedom of expression, representation of young women and men, and their active participation in decision-making processes, in socio-economic and cultural development. The Organization is inherently a place for democratic debate, a platform for exchanges where democratic values are promoted, including tolerance, pluralism, and respect for human rights, freedom and dialogue." Yup, our kids are being indoctrinated towards being a global citizen and that we are a democracy and not a Republic. It seems Idaho Common Core is moving along nicely towards meeting the UN goals for education. Hewlett Packard (HP), right here in Boise, signed a "strategic partnership agreement" with UNESCO to "strengthen their collaboration around existing education projects" and "to support UNESCO’s priority of “Education for All"."
Perhaps HP is not aware of how they are being used to promote UN ideology, that the money they gave to the UN could have been used in Idaho to create an educational program teaching children about American history and Idaho, or even to buy materials for schools. Another example of local Idaho involvement in the redistribution of wealth, corporatism, and advancement of Agenda 21. |
